Dax has grown up and changed A LOT over the past few months!
He is very intelligent, as well as independent and headstrong these days.
He LOVES to sing the Itsy-Bitsy Spider and Bumblebee song.
He can count to three all by himself.
He is pooping on the potty.
He can identify ALL of his numbers, shapes, colors, and animals and their sounds.
He can also find his own name! Which is pretty incredible!
I would have to guess that he is able to say nearly 100 different words and is able to produce simple sentences, as well as follow simple commands.
If he struggles to communicate, he will just drag me along by my index finger and show me what he wants or is trying to tell me about. It's pretty adorable.
He adores preschool and even has a set of friends. He will shout all of their names when we tell him it is time for school. His favorite person (aside from me) is his cousin, HAA-EEE!
Reading is still one of his favorite activities. His favorite books these days involve trains, or CHOO-CHOOS! Especially Dinosaur Train, that involves TWO of his favorite things!
Helen is becoming his other best friend. We dogsat her the past weekend, training for when we adopt her, and he was very upset when he awoke from his nap and she was gone.
In order to make him feel better we had to put a Helen shirt on. That did the trick.
He is also obsessed with keys. He knows that they mean "bye-bye" and he likes to try to unlock doors with them. We had to collect all of our useless keys and make him his own set so as to ensure that our keys wouldn't get lost.
His name baby cousin, Marley Nicole, was also born last week. He was so excited to see her. He shouted "BABY!!!" all day after we showed him a picture of her and told him we were going to see her. He was upset that he couldn't actually play with her though. It was funny.
Life is pretty enjoyable these days! Busy, but wonderful!
