The doctor was also very impressed with his motor and social development. Unfortunately, due to new studies exhibiting the negative effects of infants under the age of s
ix months beginning solids we were discouraged from doing so and while we were given the okay to give him rice cereal we have had nothing but defeat with that (Dax acts as though we are torturing him whenever we try to feed him the cereal.)
He is also an especially drooly little guy (as you can see here) because he is teething!
Dax is on the verge of fully supporting himself when sitting and gets very frustrated if we don't prop him up in the sitting position. He has also mastered scooting himself around the floor whenever we have "tummy time" and can push himself all the way across any blanket or playmat. His new favorite hobby is jumping in his jumper, too. We bought the jumper about a month ago, which ended up being just a couple weeks too early for Dax. After attempting the jumper following a two week break from it Dax decided that he loves it and now gets mad at us whenever we take him out of it before he is ready.
His personality has really grown and is one of the cutest and most easygoing I have ever been around. He knows exactly what he wants and is great at communicating to get what he wants, he's also pretty laidback and enjoys doing just about anything as long as he is being held; he's just as cuddly (if not more so) than his big daddy bear.

In other non-Daxton related news: at Dax's four month wellness exam I also discovered that I have Bell's Palsy, a weird condition brought on by numerous factors (stress, dental work, pregnancy/post pregnancy) for unknown reasons that causes nerve paralysis in your face. While I still have the feeling throughout my entire face I am unable to move the right side of my face, causing me to look as though I have recently had a stroke and causing me to be the butt of many of Ryan's jokes. While I did visit the doctor and receive treatment for it on the first day that my face exhibited the signs of it I should be rid of it by the wedding, however, certain cases have lasted as long as six months even with treatment. Keep your fingers crossed!
