My First Blog Post

I have decided to take a stab at blogging after reading and enjoying several of my friends' blogs. My life has recently taken some amazing turns and I'd like to share some of the ensuing adventures with anyone who cares to read about them! Well...here I go!!
Daxton is 20 days old today! So far I have really enjoyed being a mom and getting to hang out with my little man all day!
Ryan did a great job celebrating my first mother's day by making me breakfast, buying me a beautiful necklace, creating a gorgeous bouquet of roses for me, and giving me an awesome foot massage! I never thought that I could love him anymore than I did, but seeing what an amazing father he is to Dax has made me love him even more! He is so tender and sweet with him, I am so proud of him! He has also been extremely helpful while I'm still recovering from delivering our son! He deserves a medal!
Dax's little personality is really starting to develop and we think he has the greatest personality ever! He loves to hear himself "talk" and makes some of the silliest noises while entertaining himself! He is also getting more coordinated and my hair has now been pulled a couple of times at this expense. He is also very strong! Since his first day he has been able to hold his head up pretty well and while he doesn't love 'tummy-time' too much, it's really helping him become even stronger! He can now hold his head up for an extended period of time without bobbling and can set his head down nicely instead of dropping it. We are so proud of him! I could do nothing but stare at him all day long, he keeps me well entertained with all of his facial expressions alone! He especially likes to raise his eyebrows! He also prefers to suck on his hands rather than a pacifier, but we are trying to break that habit since I was an obsessive finger sucker as a small child.
All-in-all he is a wonderful and chill baby! We enjoy sleeping in 3-6 hour blocks through each night (between feedings) and the only time he fusses is when he is hungry or struggling to poop. He is very vocal during his bowel movements! We feel very lucky to have such an amazing child!
